Is this brand-name or compounded medication?

Brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound are FDA-approved. Compounded versions are lower cost but are not FDA-reviewed for safety or efficacy. Ask which the clinic uses and why.

Which physician will supervise my treatment?

You have the right to know the credentials of your supervising provider. Look for board-certified physicians, ideally with training in obesity medicine (ABOM diplomate).

What lab work is required before starting?

A reputable clinic should require baseline labs — at minimum a metabolic panel and thyroid function — before prescribing GLP-1 medications.

What's included in the monthly fee?

Understand whether the fee covers only the medication, or also includes provider visits, lab monitoring, supplies, and dose adjustments.

How do you handle side effects between appointments?

Nausea and GI side effects are common, especially early on. Know how to reach a provider between visits if you need a dose adjustment or have concerns.
